Company Registration Process

Please Note: Making the payments above does not complete the company registration. In order to complete the registration, you will have to provide us with certain information by completing the registration form once payment has been made. The information we require is in accordance to the rules and regulations as set out in the Companies Act of 2008.

Why Register a Private Company?

If you wish to transact with the government or the formal sector, then your business must be registered with the CIPC (Companies and Intellectual Property Commission).

For these businesses, there may also be tax benefits to registration. Even though you may not be registered as a private company, you will still have to be registered with the South African Revenue Services and will still be liable for tax if your turnover exceeds the prescribed threshold.
